painting, painting, painting

This painting just came off my easel.  I started it before the open studios tour and have worked on it here and there since then-- it's fought back. :)  I'm pretty pleased with the final result, though.

I have been following along for a little while now and I wrote in to say that I particularly like this painting. It has a very nostalgic, California Impressionist feel to me but with wonderfully smooth strokes and details. Really nice.

Thanks for the post,
Your neighbor to the south:)

Thanks to both of you, Celeste & Libby-- this (now titled, "Seclusion," was a departure from the subject matter I've been focusing on, and was definitely a challenge. I feel it broadened my abilities, for which I'm grateful!

Libby-- someone else used that reference lately to define my work. I'm flattered. thank you!

Hi Rachel. Thank you for the day today! Both of these are wonderful, but I was struck by the one called Untitled. It is lovely and has that feeling of great depth and air. Great job and see you soon.
